Fishing yesterday

Ginny and I went fishing yesterday after I did a bit of research on fishing here. The guy who took us out was originally from the UK, but he moved here in 83. Seemed to know the waters very well and he built his own boat from scratch (he used to be a sheet metal worker). Fishing went very well - we caught about 70 fish in total. Ginny caught a massive shark...well ok it was about 2 and a half feet. A carpet shark...it had really weird skin that looked like carpet. We threw most of the fish back, but kept about 25-30, some of which we gave away to Ginny's parents, and some to the builders working next door. I'll be cooking some of the ones we kept tonight. We kept a selection of Blue Cod, Terakihi (?), Kowahi and a Red (normal?) Cod.

I have fairly sporadic internet access here, so I'm not uploading any photos. I haven't actually taken many since I've been driving around this time rather than being able to take a pic out of a bus window like in South America, but I'll get them uploaded soon.
