A bunch of pictures - not full quality I'm afraid
Quick summary of the past few days since my last full entry. Went fishing after I had posted that - didn't catch anything unfortunately but it was a beautiful day out on the lake. We went out that night and had a fairly early one - only til 1:30am or so, as we had to be up, showered and in the bus by 6am the following day to go to Milford Sound - it was a 10 hour return trip for a 2 hour boat ride in the inlet - well worth it though, and the trip there and back was fun.
Following that we had a really big night out in Queenstown - we went out to the Minus 5 which is a bar in a deep freeze unit at minus 8 degrees (despite the name), and everything is made from ice - the bar, the seats, the "glasses" etc. It was good fun, then we went on to Frasier's for more drinking - it was Ladies Night so there was dancing on the bar etc. After that we went on to a club called Surreal and then for a Fergburger - one of the best burgers I've had actually - I ended up going there 3 times while in Queenstown.
Yesterday we drove to Lake Ohau in the afternoon. In the morning I went with some others on a 4 wheel drive Lord of the Rings safari - basically going to see the filming locations near Queenstown. That was fairly good. Lake Ohau was a picturesque lake surrounded by mountains which is usually a ski resort when there is snow on the mountains. I went for a swim in the lake (pretty cold at about 6 degrees C), and then spent the evening with 11 others in a hot tub designed for about 6. Ended up closing down the bar and staying up until 2:30.
I'm not going to be able to put up all the photos I want and they're not full quality as I'm a bit pressed for time. Will do any I have left over tomorrow morning.
