Arrived in Vancouver around 8:30 yesterday. Somehow managed to use my instinct and vague memory of the city (and a memorably placed huge HMV store) to navigate my way to the hotel without having to use any maps or ask directions. Got in, had a bath and went almost straight to sleep. I had been up for almost 24 hours not counting the dozes I had on the planes.
This morning was pretty overcast, but it has cleared up now and I am going to head over to Granville Island market to get some lunch and to see if anything has changed. I am also going to try and get myself signed up for a fishing trip tomorrow. I don't think I'll be able to as it is fairly short notice, but I'll see what I can do. I'd love to catch a salmon or two!
Here are a few pics from yesterday and this morning:
Picture of the sunset from the car on the way over to Vancouver
Same but with a bus in the way!
Picture of the docks and the mountains from the hotel
Same, but looking a bit more to the right
Me by the huge 4x4 rental car
