New Job

Right, well some of you do already know, but some won't. I've known for a while, but I was not mentioning any details of it so as not to jinx it. Contract however is now all signed, so I've got the job in the bag.

I'm leaving the law firm I'm at currently due to a rather long and complicated saga involving my boss announcing he was leaving to go to a different firm, and then the other 3 most senior people in the group also saying they were leaving to go to another firm too. This resulted in there being about 8 of us junior lawyers with no-one senior enough to take over management of the group.

We were given very little explanation or encouragement by management and as a result, we felt we had no real future at the current firm and that we'd be better off looking elsewhere. Long story short, I interviewed at the firm my boss is going to and got a job. I've handed in my notice a week or so ago, and I'm looking forward to starting at the new firm in a month or two - depending on how much work I still have to do at my current firm.
